about Rob Edwards

The Blighty Artiste responsible for little hooligan

I am a self confessed ex football hooligan. I am ashamed to admit that in my youth, twenties and thirties I spent many long hours traveling the length and breadth of the country looking for trouble. I was a member of the renowned Shrewsbury Town football club firm the E.B.F (English Border Front). Although Shrewsbury are a small team in football terms our firm was one of the most renowned and respected up and down the country. We were also heavily involved in following England and I am ashamed to admit to playing a part in the Ireland v England trouble that caused the postponement of the game in February 1995. People often ask me why I was involved in so much trouble and the only answer I can give is that 'it is an addiction'. It was invigorating to meet up with trusted friends and to travel the country to fight 'enemy' firms. It was if we were going to war. The adrenaline was the addiction.

Publicity Picture
These days though I feel I have turned the corner. I have realized that it is all nonsense and the fellow 'firm' members can easily betray and turn on you as they can stand by and support you. I now spend my time writing and drawing and using my talents in a positive light. The little hooliganz collection first came about as an idea about 5 years ago. I was thinking of a way to parody hooliganism and 'take the sting' out of its vicious nature. I started to draw pictures and caricatures. This eased the pain and my guilty conscience. Slowly Little hooliganz came to life and began to get some attention and popularity.

I hope you enjoy the creation and collection that I have put together with Blighty Creations.
